Barcode verifiers are necessary in order to ensure the quality of a barcode label. Sometimes printers have problems such as ribbon issues, print head issues, and more, which can then in turn produce a bad/unreadable barcode label. Faulty barcodes can cost a company wasted money, time, and effort, especially if they are delivering their product to another company that may fine them for faulty barcodes. Depending on the type of work environment, barcode verifiers should go in a certain place in the barcode label printing process. If the barcode labels need to be read into a system, barcode verifiers should be placed in the printing process right before entering into the database or system. If the barcode labels being printed will be sent off to someone else to scan, barcode verifiers should be used right after the printing process. With barcode verifiers, barcode labels that cannot be read can be reprinted, thus saving time to enter it into the system or saving time with the party that it is being sent to.
