The Thor VM2 is Honeywell's tenth-generation vehicle-mount computer and builds on the best-in-class Thor VM1 which was created specifically to address the unique challenges of supply chain applications. This device features user-replaceable 9.7" XGA display touchscreen and keyboard which are the two most damage-prone components in vehicle mounted computers.

Other features of the Thor VM2 include a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor, programmable multi-function keys, WLAN and WWAN connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS and a choice of operating systems (Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 or Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2009). The VM2 is compatible with many industry standard terminal emulation and web browser applications including the popular Honeywell RFTerm TE to make application development and system integration simple and easy. The Honeywell Thor VM2 Quick Mount Smart Dock feature allows one-handed docking and undocking to accommodate vehicle failures or to reallocate devices as workloads shift. The unit can be configured to automatically hibernate or stand by when the ignition switch is turned off, eliminating the chance of empty the vehicle battery.
